    hey

i'm not sure if this is posted in the right area, so sorry if it isn't lol

i am trying to find a way for excel to record which users change data in an excel spreadsheet, it is in a shared area on a network, and all users have their own accounts, it is used to book out different rooms, for meetings and things, and i was wondering if there is a way for excel to automatically record the username of the person that made changes to the spreadsheet, what changes they made, and what time/date they made the changes.

If you are using the 2007 version, there is a way. I am not sure about other versions.

Under the review tab, under changes, click on track changes. Check the first box to enable sharing, then check the appropriate boxes below to allow the people you wish to share it with. You can also select to highlight changes.

I believe that is what you were asking for. Hope it helps. :)
