My formatting will not stay in the columns under date. I've tried several versions of date. I never noticed this before.

    What version of Excel?

What do you mean by "will not stay"? Does it change immediately? Or if you Save and Exit and open the sheet again are they changed?

What format are you trying? And what date format is Windows itself using?

I seem to now have a larger issue with numbers or columns of numbers. 1, I can't get Excel 360 to format the numbers (dates) in a column so that they are alike. they don't react to my input.
Then I opened an old version of Quicken Rentals and tired to put a date in the box where the calendar pops up. When I try to save the record I get an error, INVALID DATE. Something is screwing with my numbers.

:( I ask again, what format are you trying. And what date format is Windows itself using? Since date issues are occurring in Quicken too, the latter question is even more important.

Also tell us about the computer? Any problems with the date and time shown in the System Tray?
