excel and word files print too much

Hi,

I have a Windows XP SP 2 box with Office 2003 SP2 loaded.
When I open some already created excel and word files and select print,
the program will print the last number of printed copies.
It will not default to 1 which we require.
That is if you print the document it will print 5 or 10 copies.
It is only on certain excel and word files.
Tried different types of printers local and networked.
I would like to set the default to print 1 copy always and let
the user to change if needed.

 

When you select "print" (control +p), are you presented with a dialog box? On the right hand side, lower corner is a box tagged "no. of copies" with a drop down menu. Do you still have the problem when you change the amount specified in that box?

May have found the problem in excel.

Open the file. File Page Setup advanced Paper/Output
copies count change to 1
