I've got a bit of a problem with an Excelsheet. I think it's got something to do with character sets or the coding.

Normally alt+0128 would bring up the €-sign. Not in this sheet. It just brings up a sign as if the €-sign doesn't exist. I've brought the font back to Arial Unicode MS , but this didn't solve the issue.

I've tried to find the characterset for this sheet, but was unable to find it. Any ideas?

Yes I do, it's just that in one sheet it doesn't work, so basically the character set needs to be changed for that one sheet. When I open a new sheet the €-sign appears as expected.

Does the problem still persist if you copy the sheet, delete the
old one and rename the new one ?
Is the Euro symbol in a field by itself or as part of an edit mask ?
    regards

    Merlin, Thanks for you replies.

The weird thing is the problem tavels, so if I cop-paste to a new sheet, the problem is still there.

The € can either be in a new field or part of an existing field.

Have you tried formatting the cell? I was looking around and that sign is available under accounting, didn't check anywhere else.
