I use Excel for quite a bit of things. I always liked the fact that as you scrolled down the page, the column headings or titles followed down the page so you could see which column you were in.
For some reason, this doesn't happen any more. I have searched this board for an answer and have not found it. Can someone tell me how to get this feature to work? I can't seem to find the answer.
    Thanks

Hi Wayne. Sounds like your spit screen has gone away. At the top of the vertical right hand scroll bar there is a little bar (just above the up arrowhead). Move the the cursor over the bar and it should change to a small up/down arrow with tow parallel bars between. Left click and drag the bar down to however many rows you need. This will allow your column headings to be visible regardless of how many rows you go down. Also works for right and left scrolling, small bar is at r/h side of horizontal bottom scroll bar.

Another way to create a spit screen is from the menu bar Windows>Split gives you a 4-way split screen. Just drag the bars to what you want or right off the page.:)

Your welcome. I know what you mean. I type a little to fast also :)

By the way, I have been using Excel for years and never know of that option. I knew how to freeze panes and so on but I never knew about the split bar. I guess you learn something new every day. Thank you.

I know what you mean by learning something new every day. I think that split screen function has been in Excel since around Excel Ver. 2.0 or there-abouts. As much as we like to criticize MS apps a rule I find handy about them is: "if you can think of something you want to do in a MS app, usually the programmers have already thought of it and you can do it ". The trick is to find out how!!!:D

Used to tell the people I worked with about that rule, and they were suprised to find out it usually worked. :)
