everything tries to open in explorer

Hello.... and thanks for having a forum like this open to me. Last week end I tried to install some windows update with basically no luck. I was running out of time so I just gave up. the next time that I booted up my puter, everything (programs, everthing) wants to boot up through the internet. So I obviously get a cannot be found error.

Example: I tried to boot up my PaintShopPro program from start, Programs, Paint Shop Pro..

Here is what I get in the explorer address bar:
http://c:/Program Files/Jasc Software Inc/Paint Shop Pro 7/psp.exe

Any help will be really appreciated.
