    Hi,

We have a Windows Server 2003 fileserver at work with over 6000 shares (home directories). The last month or so we get the eventid 2019, 2021 and 2022. When this happens, the users is unable to connect to the server. This happens more and more frequently, once a week.

The server has a 3.0 Ghz processor and 3 GB RAM.
In Windows 2000 server, it was possible to increase the value MaxFreeConnections and so on. What is the default and the MaxValue for this in Windows Server 2003? Is there any values we can increase or can it be that we have to many users connected to the server?

Can we use performance monitor to locate the bottleneck?

2019 - the server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool, because the pool was empty.
2021 - the server was unable to allocate a workitem x times...
2022 - this server was unable to free upp connections....

    I really need som help

    Regards
    Majo

It sounds almost identical to issues with 2000 server and some versions of Symantec's Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition software.

Take a look at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=272568 and you might need to check for similar issues with 2K3. If that's not it,
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822219&SD=tech
or any of the other hits when you do a google search for
"the server was unable to allocate from the system nonpaged pool" (and do use the quote marks as part of the search string).
