    Can someone explain how to do the command prompt as stated in txt. I know how to get to start run and then type cmd. Then what?

    That message is largely "smoke and mirrors" from some programmer since it is useless to most users. If they had anything meaningful to say, it would have been there in plain text.

    If you want to persist in getting the actual error code, which will often be even less meaningful, you'll have to go through the gyrations of running the exact letter perfect command line code command. You can get that syntax by going to a command prompt and typing: sc /?

    You can see a comprehensive list of all the command line commands by typing
    %windir%\hh.exe ms-its:C:\WINDOWS\Help\ntcmds.chm::/ntcmds.htm
    in a command window or a RUN window. You can make a new shortcut with that as the target and keep it handy for reference. I must warn you, it's a study unto itself and may have little value for the average user.

    Referring a GUI user to a command line to get a report is a weak smokescreen at best. :(

    I think I'll pass on that project. Thanks for the info.
