Resolved Event id 1530 - User Profile Service

    Using SBS 2008, getting the event id 1530 daily with the following error message

    Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.

    DETAIL -
    2 user registry handles leaked from \Registry\User\S-1-5-21-4054990760-1581323792-991068313-500:
    Process 4152 (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files (x86)\Symantec AntiVirus\Rtvscan.exe) has opened key \REGISTRY\USER\S-1-5-21-4054990760-1581323792-991068313-500\Software\Intel\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Custom Tasks

    New to SBS 2008 server admin, not sure if this is important or not.

    Thanks, the article told me about the UPHClean utility to run on earlier versions of Windows. The SBS 2008 server is Vista-like, and my clients are XP.

    The User Profile Hive Cleanup Service is build into Vista & Windows Server 2008. I think this is only a warning & not critical.
