    Hi there.

I am having an issue with event viewer warning 1002 - known folders missing as per below and hope somebody has a feasible solution. Consulted Microsoft technet but they don't seem to keen on coming up with an answer as it is not a serious problem only an annoying detail concerning the win 32 subsystem

    1 of many warnings:

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Is something NOT working on the pc?

To me 99% of what you see in event viewer can be ignored.

With Steve here, I dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu and have never seen the system boot up without some kind of warning, now if you see a BSOD or a kernel panic you probably have something to worry about.

Is there an issue with the computer once started?

    Computer is working fine!
I am however, often using event viewer to keep track on the internals and it would be nice to get rid of inconsequential warnings, especially when they are caused by poor OS programming and addressing microsoft is just about useless.

If the OS programming is causing the error - the only way to make the errors go away is to fix the code of the OS.. Us mere mortals can't do that.
