It used to work fine before for as long as I can remember. But lately, if I click on a mail link in IE ver. 6.00.2800, the browser spawns dozens of blank pages, maybe even a hundred! I have clicked on the same links before, and this 'mailto' feature has always worked. I have not made any changes to the system.

    Any ideas?

    TIA.

You need to do a virus scan. I had this before also. There is a virus in your computer causing this. Can't remember what the name of it was though.

Okay, after having my virus checker come up empty-handed, and investigating further, I discovered that when I installed Thunderbird (which co-exists with IE, Outlook and Firefox), it installed itself as the default mail client in IE. To my chagrin, after changing the setting to Outlook and configuring Firefox to use Thunderbird, everything has returned to normal.

Thanks to you all for your responses.

No problem, Mark. That was the least I could do considering I have consistently found solutions to queries in these BBS's. If I get stuck, this is where I turn to.

    Thanks.
