Ethernet Cards very seldom "just stop working." Maybe it died and needs to be replaced...New card is under $15.00.

Is your ethernet card built into the motherboard or a plugin card?

The driver can be downloaded from here .....

    http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/2...0-driver-whql-6.02-windows-free-download.html or

    http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...&GetDown=false&Langid=1&Level=5&PFid=6&PNid=6

If it is on-board thr driver should be on the motherboard driver CD.

As Steve posted - Ethernet Cards very seldom "just stop working. ". If it is a plug in card power down the computer, physically remove it and replace. Might also clean the contacts with a soft pencil eraser.

Did your house recently get hit by lightening?

Yank the card out and boot the pc up....Shut down and put the card back in. Maybe Windows will redetect it properly.
