    Hi

In device manager the ethernet controller is showing as a yellow question mark, when investigated it appears it has no drivers. Where do I get some from?

    Cheers

First step is to remove/uninstall the controller in Device Manager and reboot. If the drivers are on the hard drive Windows should find them.

If the controller is on the motherboard, i.e. not a plug in card the drivers should be on the motherboard CD. If you don't have the CD go to the manufacturer's website and download them.

If you don't know the make or model of the motherboard download and run Everest which will give you the required info plus details of the controller too most likely.

If the controller is a plug in card go to the manufacturer's web site and download them.
