Hi, I want to connect the corp's server from home. So I decide to use VPN.
But I failed via control panel=>create a new connection etc.

I heard that it has to download client something, I lack of this kind of knowledge. Does windows set up a vpn is not enough?

I use windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Need your advice.

    Thanks

Is the corp server setup to receive the connection?

Is you home router include VPN functionality?

Okay. Now the connection is okay. Our company uses Cisco and I downloaded the Cisco VPN client. I can login with my company's user and password at home.

Now new question arises: how to connect my desktop in the office? Suppose I know the machine name. I have not seen other interface except VPN client window. The client version is 5.0.07.0290.
