Using Microsoft Windows 7 64bit OS, and IE9. When using BBCi player program [The Apprentice] at intervals stops, resumes and finally error is shown "Bandwidth not sufficient. No other program(s) are in use when screening "The Apprentice ". Virgin is my provider, and they maintain that my account is 20GB of bandwidth. Memory modules installed in HP Presario
CQ5115uk 4GB, would increasing memory capacity solve this error? or is this due to Virgin? Error has only surfaced in the past two weeks, no changes have been made to the computer during this period. Comments, most appreciated.

PeteC, thank you for assistance. Reading listed contents, it shows that Virgin are at fault but refuse to accept liability. I have cable connection of 20GB or I am made to believe. I am a single user, with no other appliances attached.

Cable is always problematic, because available bandwidth is shared between 'sections' (called 'nodes'), which can mean you're sharing with quite a few people in your neighborhood.

Now add to that the growing bandwith demand for HD channels and you can see where it'll lead.

Check out this article: Report: Cable companies facing big bandwidth crunch

That's an article of 4 years ago.

Arie, yes exactly what Virgin say everytime contacted, fault caused by user demands. Same story for the past few years, only two weeks ago they informed me new technology had improved immensly and now my account was being upgraded to 20Gb band width, this at no increase cost to my monthly bill. My download speeds is in the Kbs rather than the megabytes offered by Virgin. OK I believe Virgin, without holding my breath.
