Error: "Windows installer not working" when trying to start a program

    When I am trying to run new program or update existing ones I get a message that refers to my windows installer not working properly or not being installed. I can not find windows installer in my computer in any of my files and I have downloaded the latest version but it does not appear anywhere either.

    In addition to what Whiskeyman suggested try upgrading Windows Installer to version 4.5 and see if that solves your problem. Download Windows Installer 4.5. :cool:
