[Error when opening Excel file from unsent email attachment for checking]

Strange thing here...I can open Excel just fine but when I attach an Excel file to an email message and then open the attached Excel file (just to be sure I attached the correct file!), I get a message stating "Microsoft Standard Edition 2003 installing components for Microsoft Excel" - installing MS Excel features - installation error File not found - required installation file SKU112.CAB could not be found.

A couple of things here--I use Microsoft Office Professional not the Standard Edition plus this just started. I assume that the Standard Edition it is referring to is the 60 day free trial that came with the computer. Both MS Office Standard and MS Office XP Professional are listed in the control panel add/remove programs.

What do I do? Should I remove the MS Office Standard 2003 from Add/Remove?

I've seen this happen on several customer's pcs but have no idea what causes it. If you have the Office 2003 disc, I'd suggest you remove both of your previous installs and start again. You won't lose any data or documents by doing this.

I went to detect and repair in Excel - had to insert the CD - seems like it is fixed for now!
