I am not sure if this is a Windows XP SP2 error message, or from some other disk management app.

For a NTFS drive how important is this message? What can happen? Is there a fix? I looked in Microsoft KB and couldn't find anything. That could only mean that I am lousy at searches in MS KB.

    I appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Click Start>Run and type cmd then hit enter to open a command prompt. Type the following command then hit enter.

    chkdsk /f

You will receive a message such as the following.
Type Y then exit the command window and reboot. The checkdisk utility will run on restart and may restart the computer again when it finishes.

Let us know if it helps.
