    Hello All,

Computer was recently attacked by a virus and had to be completely re-booted. Since the re-booting an anti-virus has been installed, however, am now having the following difficulties:

Logging onto my personal Amazon account isn't possible, Ill be asked for my username and password over and over and over again - no matter how many times Ill enter the correct information, it'll keep taking me back to various versions of the same login page. I may be able to sign in and get through to my account once, but then, when in, should I try to view anything in the account ill be taken straight back to the initial sign in page. Have spoken to Amazon technical support who have confirmed that all is well at their end, they have been able to log in using my username and password and I'm able to log in from another computer. Just not this one. Technical support took me through the usual: Tools - Internet Options - Privacy - Accept All Cookies (which it is now set to) and also: Tools - Internet Options - Browsing History - Delete. None of this has made the slightest bit of difference.

This also affects other websites where, for example, I may try to buy something, add it to 'My Basket' and then 'Continue Shopping' but nothing will be in 'My Basket'...then Ill get an error message saying that I must 'Enable Cookies'. Lovely, but what if cookies are already enabled?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    M.

    Hi Curlsomeangel,

    Two things:

    1) Reinstall your browser

    2) Try another browser.

    3) What browser version are you using?

  3. to hide this advert.

Another suspect would be your anti-virus program (or other security application you have installed), it could be set to block cookies.
