Error on start up or restart

Hi ... Could someone please suggest as to how I can correct this error that I am getting , First off its a windows xp home sp2 and , Everytime I restart or shut down the computer I get the following " The application failed to initialize because the window station is shutting down " What should I perform to fix this ? Thanks

 

Try clicking on start, on run, keying in

Code:

sfc /scannow

and OK.

If the system file checker doesn't fix the problem, check your event logs for the error/warning associated with the problem and post the name of the application or file that is hanging and causing the error message and post that here.

 

I've seen this in a case involving some sort of malware. You might want to try scanning your system with the MS AntiSpyware (Beta) or Ad-Aware.
