I took Norton System Works off my employers' #2 computer and replaced it with Avg. Also updated Zone Alarm.

Now I can't connect to the software (Rx30) on #2 . The first message is :
    " restore: \\erin\\Rx30 ".

The 2 computers both use Windows 2000 Professional and we use dsl.
The only shared program is Rx30, by which we fill our prescriptions.

Items on Work Group #1(Erin): are
    label printer
    plain paper
    Rx30
    Rx30on Erin
    printers
    scheduled tasks.

Items on Work Group #2(Cathleen) are
    my documents
    Rx30 back up
    printers
    scheduled tasks.
    Thanks for your help.

Possibly when you upgraded Zone Alarm the new version isnt allowing the software to connect to the other computer. It might be locking out the port. I would start with ZA

I stopped ZA from loading at start up and have the same problem. Thanks for your input.

I don't know. When I turn the host computer on, it comes on automatically.
After I start "Lifeline "(a part of Rx30), I click on the short cut: "Rx30id1 "
    and open the program.

On the other computer, when I turn it on, it is already connected to the
    internet.
I had been clicking on "RX30 id2" short-cut to open Rx30.but now it
says" restoring connection to \\Erin\\Rx30." Then it says "an error
occurred while connectin G to \\Erin.... Network path not found.. "

On the host computer, when I search for net work places, "Cathleen "(computer #2) isn't found.

On Cathleen, work groups is not accessible.

Don't know whether or not this is helpful. I know nothing about networking.

    Thanks.
