When I clicked send & receive emails option, I received some mails. Then around two mails moved out of my outbox. Suddenly I got an error message after which I could not open Outlook express 6 again. Immediately after opening the following error message comes and I couldnot see or open the box folders.

MSIMN caused an exception c0000006H in module DIRECTDB.DLL at 017f:01435556.

    I found this solution here:

If Outlook Express will not open because you receive an error message citing directdb.dll, that is an indication that one or more of the dbx files containing your messages is corrupted. Couple of ways to fix it.

Let's try the easy one first.
Start/Find/Files and search for all files ending with DBX. Note the folder in which they are located. Create a new folder on your Desktop and call it OldMsgs.

Now go to the folder containing all of the dbx files and move them to the OldMsgs folder so that the default message store folder is empty. (make sure there are no files remaining in the folder after the move).

Now open Outlook Express and it should open normally although with no messages in any folder other than the original Welcome to OE in the Inbox.

Now click File/Import/Messages/OE5 or 6/From an OE5 or 6 Message Store and point it to the "OldMsgs" folder on your Desktop.

After the import verify that all messages are in the proper folders. If any folder failed to import correctly, it may be damaged. In that case you can download DBExtract to extract its contents as eml files which you can then drag/drop into a local mail folder for archival purposes.
