I'm trying to connect a Dial up connection on my pc via a modem. The Pc already has an ISDn hookup. I'm using a valid ips phone# and my correct username/password info. My modem does work, i fax out with it everyday. But when I try to connect to my isp I get the following error.:

    Verifying username & password.
Error 691: Access was denied because the username and/or password was invalid...

    Help

Getting as far as password error shows you're connecting to the ISP's server. Could be an invalid username or password, or a modem setting or other incompatibility with their server. Best first bet is to call the ISP's tech support.
