    Hi

I have had problems with bad lag when I am playing in my on-line crib league so decided to clean out cookies, temp int. files etc and defrag. Managed cookies etc but when came to open temp. internet folder, had an error message come on screen which says:

Error....fault caused in DGI.EXE please ignore or close and return to windows, consequently cannot get into that folder to clear it.

Can anyone help me here and is this related to this lag I have been getting?

    Many thanks

    Joan

    Hi Joan

If you would go start > run >type or copy paste faultlog.txt
and hit enter or OK, Post the error But we only need the top most part of it and well the right one you can tell by the date

here's one of mine. Like this:
    Date 06/21/2003 Time 22:50
EXPLORER caused a general protection fault
    in module GDI.EXE at 0001:000002d7.

Generally speaking I'm not to concerned unless I can get it to repeat. or if it happens often twice or more...

On IE's toolbar go help about IE and post you're version for us
    cypher strength services packs,,,
    what OS do you have?
"consequently cannot get into that folder to clear it. "
why do it that way ?
On IE's toolbar go tools or better yet before of after a connection is made, disconected,, go to control panel Internet options [delete files] and always mark the popup to also delete offline content,, good thing to clear cookies once and awhile and history to

You could also while here look within the close program box (task manager)
press CTRL alt Del at the same time and post for us whats there
    also
You can test whether Java is working on your machine at the following, as Online games use it alot
    sites:

    http://www.pocoso.de/pocoso052.html
    http://www.clan.lib.ri.us/clan/javatest.html

and check whether you have the MS VM installed and which version here:
use the view your current Java build number.
    http://www.visualware.com/support/javasupport.html
and tell us what it is ?
