I have an Acer Travelmate 2441WXCi. Here is the problem: Randomly, the computer will restart after a blue screen. Event viewer indicates error
    Category 102 Event Id 1003
    Error code: 0000007F, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 80042000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

Is there a fix for this error?

Have you looked at the event veiwer on your laptop ?
Start -> Run type or paste EVENTVWR.MSC
    and press OK

It could be a hardware or bios problem. Update your BIOS and all drivers for the devices on your Laptop. This is the most common cause of the error you are recieving.

The information in the event viewer is as follows: Category 102 Event Id 1003
Error code: 0000007F, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 80042000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000. I already performed driver updates and a couple of overnight memory scans. I will try the BIOS update which I think I already did. I will double check on the BIOS update

Follow these instructions to post a Dump Data Log.

If you do not have a dump, ensure that your machine is configured to write out a dump by following the directions from microsoft

    Problem solved

The problem was that I had too many processes running when Windows Task Manager indicated that I had 89 processes. By stopping some of the unwanted processes, the blue screen error ceased to exist anymore.

Thanks to all that assisted in this matter and I hope that this thread will help others with similar problems.
