    Hello,

I took my friend's gateway laptop home and decided to reformat it because she was hit with some virus or trojan that left her laptop unusable.

I went to the Gateway site and found out how to restore it to factory condition. Everything went well and it was reformatted but I now get an error message everytime I boot the system. It is:

Could not load file or assembly "MOM.Implementation' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I have looked on the internet for help but I can't seem to understand what they are saying.

Could you please help me with this problem so I can return the Gateway Laptop to my friend.

    Thank you.

    Jean

I would like to retract this question as for some unknown reason I am not getting this error message anymore. Why I don't know. Thank you for your help now and in the past.

MOM.Implementation has to do with ATI Video, specifically the ATI Catalyst Control Center software. Go to the Gateway site and see if the video drivers/video software has an available updated version.
