 When I copy documents from my Favorites, Cookbook folder to a floppy disk in 'A' drive I get the following error message immediately after the copying is completed:

    "Windows Explorer
The target can not handle this type of document. "

However, when I check the documents on the 'A' disk everything seems to be there. Can't figure this one out.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how I can get rid of the error message at the end of copying documents from Favorites to a floppy disk? Thanks much.

I get this error when copying XP system files to a floppy, especially files with no file-type ending, like ntldr. But, as you say, the copy works fine anyway.

If you want to look into this further, please specify what program is making these files and what their endings are. I'd ignore this "false error" if it were me ;) .

Alternatively, you could zip a group of these files together before saving them to floppy, making more room on the floppy and eliminating the message.

You might inadvertantly be trying to transfer a virus or worm under the auspices of a 'hidden' or 'system' file. I think a full virus/trojan scan would be in order, including the floppy(s) you are working with.

    Just a thought!!
