My daughter is getting the following error when she boots her computer: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

She clears the error and continues using the computer without problem but would like to find the cause of the error message.

I haven't been able to find anything about this error at startup so though I would ask Windows BBS.

    Thanks,

Taking the easy route today, somewhat busy - a Google search for 'java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError' brings up more hits than you will want to see :)

Is there ever!!! I've been searching through it trying to find a solution but as Jim stated nothing about the error at startup.

Your daughter's not doing any programming in java is she? :)

I'm going to search the Knowledge Base and see if anything there.

Right, I did the Google search and didn't find anything for a startup error either. Daughter is just a basic email and letter writter kinda user.... no programming, no new applications... just one of those things that jumps up and bites you... something flipped a bit maybe.

Run Spybot or Adaware. Take a gander add the dd/Remove list too and see whether there is a reference to WebSavingsfromEbates.
