Windows Vista Error: "failed to find a suitable display device. exiting program."

    hey guys i just reformatted my vista and im trying to play some online games and it is coming up with "failed to find a suitable display device. exiting program." i have been told to download a graphics driver but when i looked for the v6130 specific driver i couldnt find it anywhere...any ideas on where i can look?

    What is the make and model number of your video card?

    After the format - did you install the chiipset drivers etc for the mobo?

    ummm i think its intergrated sis mirage 3 graphics accelerator? thats what it says on the side of computer, or standard vga graphics adapter??

    i havnt installed anything since the reformat

    k so i downloaded it and how do i know if its working now? i tried to get into the game again and it didnt work

    Go into Device Manager - expand Display Adaptors and check that the adaptor shown is the one you posted - sis mirage 3

    If that is correct right click on it > Properties > Driver tab and check that the driver version shown is the one you loaded from the URL I posted.

    And - as Steve posted ....
    ???

    Also - after you formatted did you install Java and Adobe Flash?
