    Hi,
When we attempt to run setup for Zone Alarm, we get the following error:

    "C:\Windows\Temp\GLB2235.tmp
    Validation Failed for C:\Windows\Temp\VSINIT.DLL
    OK "

The next time we tried setup, we got the same message except this time it had "GLBA1A0.tmp ".

We tried reinstalling all Windows Files and also all Windows .dll files but this didn't help.

We also checked the C:\Windows\Temp folder and there is a "vsinit.dll" in it.

Does anyone know why we are getting this error?

    Thanks.

Delete all the files and folders in the Temp folder, reboot and then try the install of ZA.

    Hi Mark,
    Thanks for your reply.
We got a similar error message when we tried to use Symantec's "SYMCLN" utility.
Then we couldn't get into Window's Update site because our "Security Settings" were too high (we had them on medium).
Then we couldn't get Outlook Express to Open because of a missing "msoe.dll "

We then tried to reinstall IE6, SP1 again and got message that it was already installed on our computer. There was an option though, "To reinstall anyway" which we selected.
This seemed to download and install additional files and when completed all of the above problems cleared up.

Don't know what happened but it appears to OK now.
    Thanks again.
