Error code 8048

My wife has taken her laptop with her on a trip and this morning she e-mailed me:

"I receive a pop-up error message notice when I log onto some sites. Just did for the bank account site. It states "error establishing an encryption connection to ads.revscu.net. Error code-8048 ". What is this about and how do I permanently eliminate this from happening? I have to press OK to get rid of the screen. Is it something I should worry about? "

I did a Search here and found nothing. She's running Win XP (HE) SP3 with SeaMonkey (I'm not sure exactly which version but it's prior to 2.0).

Any suggestions?

I looked at the SeaMonkey forum post and believe it will be helpful. The solution's terminology may be confusing for my wife, so I tried to simplify them in the e-mail I've now sent her. When she next sends something to me, I'll post her results.

 

I got several hits for Firefox, as well as IE7 and 8. This is far from being anything new.
I tried some of the links and it is perplexing. One case pertain to a mail service which had been discontinued several months earlier. In general, it was a security setting.
And, the correct site is: ads.revsci.net.
