Error 123 Setup was unable to create the directory

    Before anyone says to install HiJack this, i cant k?

    Whenever i try to install something, i get a message saying this, its in swedish but i can make a rough translation

    "Setup was unable to create the directory "C:/Documents and Settings/?garen ".
    Error 123: Invalid syntax for filename, category name or volume -SOMETHING-.

    So, i have no idea, i can post a dxdiag if anyone requests one, any help is much thanked.

    Your computer should get on well with Christer - his speaks Swedish too :)

    I think this may be your problem
    ? is the invalid syntax.

    Have you been able to install anything with the username ?garen?

    I suggest you create a new user using the correct syntax (no ?) and copy your profile to that user ....

    How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile
