When I am entering data on an internet web page, my keystrokes are intermittently dropped. I need to type very slowly or backspace to pick up the lost characters.

I am using Windows XP ver 5.1 Media Center Edition SP2. IE is Version 7.0.5730.11. My computer is a Dell XPS about 1 year old. Dell software support replaced the wireless keyboard and mouse once. No change. I tried a wired (USB) keyboard and there was no change. I checked with Cox regarding the connection and the Cox High Speed Internet Security Suite (produced by Authentium). Everything points to the browser.

I have not noticed any problem when using MS Office products. Only when online and entering data such as logins, passwords, and text such as this. I have had numerous dropped characters while typing this.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

I think since it appears this might be related to your other problem, I'll close this thread for now to keep it all in one place. If it turns out the two aren't related we can open it again for you or you can start another thread. Which ever you prefer. For those that want to have a look at it, here's a link to the other thread.
