    Hi guys and gals

just a quickie: does anyone know how to erase the memorised searches in the "search window" in the Start menu - there must be a way, but I just dont know it.

also, anyone knows of a good primer/tutorial to learn more about tricks and tips for w2k - also, I heard someone about a document or site called "the things Microsoft did not want us to know about windows" - or words to that effect - anyone heard of it and know where it can be downloade

    TIA

    Run Regedit and navigate to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Doc Find Spec MRU
Delete all lines except the default line. Takes effect instantly, no reboot necessary.

EDIT, I just noticed your post date and wonder how this came up on my "New Posts list" Maybe my cookies are starting to mold. :D
