    Hi All,

I've noticed that by running AIDA32, my ASUS NVidia GEForce440 card has 2 supported but not enabled options:

    FastWrite
    Sideband Addressing

Is there a way (or advantage) to turning these options "ON "?

Go into advanced options on the settings tab of your Display Properties and you should find both. You'll also have to set Fast Write in the bios but should get further options in the advanced tab re: program specific control for gaming or whatever.

    Rock,

Cannot find anything to do with either setting in BIOS or on the advanced tab of video settings. I have the NVidia (GeForce4 MX440) tab, but nothing there about fast writes or sideband... BIOS has only 2x or 4x for AGP and palette snoop (disabled) settings for vid.

    Am I overlooking the obvious?

Don't know that exact card but they are there somewhere. Guaranteed! I'll be doing a 128DDR GeForce4 MX440 within the next few days so I'll get back to you with specifics if no one pipes up in the meantime.

    ;)

I'm seeing the options "disabled" through AIDA32, but if I look in XTEQ under "Hardware | Video Cards | NVidia | GeForce ", ALL of the settable options are grayed out - as if they don't exist! Could anyone shed any light on WHY this is so?

    Hi RASelkirk

Some of the card options are like playing musical chairs. When option A is taken, option C and D are no longer available. I found this most true when changing display settings for the monitor.. screen refresh rate or resolution.
