I am using Vista Ultimate (Clean Install) and I am very pleased with it a few fire fighting issues that I have been able to resolve, but there is one that I cannot.

    IE7
Recently every time I click on a shortcut it opens in a new page and not inside the existing page I have open at the time, but if I turn off "Enable Protected Mode" in the security settings for IE my browser returns back to normal, I also have "User Account Control" turned on, although I must admit when I was installing software this is the first thing I turned off.

This did not happen day one (then I was not sure about anything that happened) so why should this irrating "let see how many IE7 windows we can open" all of a sudden start to happen.

I am not happy leaving "Enable Protected Mode" off but I have no choice.

    Anybody have any suggestions?

    Paul

Tools->Options->Advanced tab->Reuse Window for launching shortcuts needs to be enabled...

I saw this but it does not make any difference which does make sense as I do not use tab browsing.
Even doing a refresh on a page opens up a new window!
