I have a compaq computer with Win 98 and a
56 bp modem. I have been trying out the
Emerson Switchboard. It does work SOME OF THE
TIME. But I find in testing it out with my cell
phone that it misses more calls than it gets and
you will never know if you missed a call because
nothing happens. This product is not reliable
enough for me to keep it. If anyone has had
any experience with the Emerson Switchboard
    please post it here.

I am looking for a replacement for this product
and on Google found 4 simular products by
Computer Peripheral Systems, Inc. (CWS) They are:
    Alert
    Auto Alert
    CW Switch
    CW Manager.

The 1st one Alert simply signals you a call is
waiting and you push a button to connect but
will loose the internet connection. The others
    will reconnect you.

Would this be a good product to have or can some
other ones be better to have. I am just looking
to be notified of a call waiting and can always
    connect to the internet myself.

Another product called CALL WAVE I believe work
on your computer a software and flashes a notice
on your computer screen you have a call waiting.

I am looking for a product to buy that works
every time. All suggestions are welcome.

    Jerry

Sorry i don't use any programs like those.
    Question though:
What kind of connection speeds are you getting with a cell hook-up.
