A question was posed by some who would like to know how to embed a MIDI file in Thunderbird 2.0. If there is a way, can that sound be saved or "lifted" if not sent as an attachment? Any advice appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forum, rasrealtor!

Thunderbird still does not support that feature.

If you select: Insert | HTML you can embed a remote sound file on a web server.

If you attach the file, select: File | Send Later then edit the message code in your Unsent folder file, then you can probably construct an embedded sound, and Thunderbird can send the modified message.

Thunderbird 3 builds support plugins, so they can play some embedded sound files, but as far as I know they still cannot do the embedding.

FWIW, very few folks like the embedded sound... ;)
