When I click over some emails received in Outlook Express, I get prompted to install a cd-rom for one of my software programmes (Microsoft Frontpage) - it doesn't happen on all emails, just some.

    Can anyone help prevent this?

    Thanks

What happens when you pop in the requested cd and let it get the info it wants?

Do the emails in question have images inbedded? If so you could consider changing the file association for that type of image.

    Hi Steve,
I put in the cd (Microsoft FrontPage) and then the prompts have stopped - thanks for the tip!
I don't actually understand exactly why this has occured, but I'm happy the problem is fixed!

The software my company makes and I support does this same thing if you create a new user profile. It'll prompt you for a cd all day long regardless of what you do till you pop in the cd...

    Glad this worked for you....
