I have NS 6.2, does anyone know how to add an icon for the email to the quick launch tool bar? I looked all over windows explorer and the help files and could find no file to make a shortcut from. I have OE and Netscape communicator icons on the bar but can't figure out NS6.
Thanks in advance if you know.:)

You may be able to make a copy of the the netscape shortcut you currently have, and add the appropriate commandline switch.

Right-click on the netstcape6 shorcut on the desktop, select copy, then right click somewhere on the desktop and select paste.

Right-click on the new "copy" of the netscape6 shortcut, select properties, then the shortcut tab. Edit the target box, so it looks something like this:

    c:\program files\netscape\netscape6\netscpe6.exe -mail

press ok, then rename the shortcut to something like "Mail ", and drag it to the quicklaunch bar (hopefully this works).

    Re suggestion

Well, I tried your suggestion but a box came up saying it was not a valid path. Thank you anyway. :(

You should use the path that is already in the shortcut "target" box... just add -mail to the end of it... something like

    your_path_to_netscpe6.exe -mail

    Re: mail shortcut

I did just that, leaving what was there in there, but no matter how I added it, it still came up saying the path was not valid.

Are you putting a space between exe and -mail? There needs to be a space there. Example below.

    "C:\program files\netscape\netscape6.exe" -mail

Also, you need to include the quotes.
