Does anyone know why when I either forward a link or send an attachment sometimes it goes through Outlook Express and other times it goes through Microsoft Outlook? Sometimes, I'll send a link and then resend it as page. Sometimes both the link and page will go through OE or MO or a combination of both; the link either OE/MO or the page OE/MO. What's the deal??

My best guess - and that's all it is :)

Running OE and MO together confuses/conflicts with one/both.

    outlook express vs. microsoft outlook

Can anyone else post a suggestion as to why this happens?? Can I disable Microsoft Outlook? I already have it set up for Outlook Express to be the default mail handler.

Check in IE>Tools>Internet Options>Programs tab and make sure the same email program is selected in both "Email" and "Contact List." If you're sending it to a contact that's in one but not the other, or in the Address Book but not the Contacts or vice versa, it'll chose the one it's in. If it's in both, it'll flip a coin, maybe. ;)

    Microsoft Outlook vs Outlook Express

Nope, that isn't it. Under programs for contacts my choice is address book or Microsoft OUtlook. Address book is selected. The other categories under this tab is Outlook Express. Hummm, I just don't get this.

    Outlook express vs. microsoft outlook

I did a google search for Philadelphia Carpenters Hall. I went to send the page to my son and it opened Outlook Express and sent it. I went to send a link and it opened Microsoft Outlook to send it. I can't find any rhyme or reason for this happening. I don't like to use Microsoft Outlook because it doesn't send the page/message/link unless I actually open the program. I prefer to use Outlook Express. I have OE as my default. Can we put our thinking caps on and solve this mystery??? Thanks.
