I'm using Exchange Server 2000 with Outlook 2003. I have a problem where the To, From and CC information is not going to some of my recipients from a specific exchange mailbox, it just appears blank but the Subject is populated and any attachments are also in the header. I need to get these fields to populate. Can you help?

Are the recipients clients of the same exchange box, or are the e-mails leaving your exchange server to get to them?

Both. Looking closely, the scenario seems to be that an email is sent to us from one company in the US that has been sent backwards and forwards and forwarded internally ok then suddenly it doesn't have the header. It's happened quite a few times but only with this company the US from what I can gather.

If the messages are being passed between mailboxes on the same server, they don't have to pass via the usual protocols. The mail server can just move them to different mailboxes internally. As the headers are only there to provide the information for the mail protocols (particularly SMTP), they may well not be presented on these messages.

Ok. But what about the replies to the external mailboxes... they are going to a completely different mail server and the header information is missing. I could send you a copy of the email so you can see the problem rather than me attempting to describe it if that's ok on this forum.
