Email Attachments Don't Open in IE/OE6

I am having a world of problems opening attachments in OE ever since I downloaded and installed the IE6 update.
Other folks are having trouble opening mine as well. And sometimes I get a virus threat warning even though the attachments have been scanned with McAfee (latest). Sometimes they don't open at all, and sometimes I have to reclick "open" 2 or 3 times before they will open.
Anyone have any ideas?

 

For the virus warnings, in Outlook Express go to:

Tools > Options > Security > Virus Protection.

For the "reclick open..." Do you mean you have to open a number of "attachments" before getting to the message? If so, that's normal depending on how the message was forwarded. For the "Other folks are having trouble opening mine as well ". You don't say what their exact trouble is. Anyway, maybe someone else has an idea.
