    what is it ? a friend brought over this ? and asked me to fix it. i've got it going pretty good. i don't know what kind of files- programs to download. it has apple stuff on it. i'm just used to deeing that on mac. is this a pc - mac or some kind of hybrid. i may sound stupid but this is my first time to mess with emachines. any advice are these good, okay or junk machines? TY

    emachines are pc's, now owned by gateway.
    The apple stuff you see is likely just apple software, like quicktime, itunes, etc.
    emachines have been around for a long time.
