my problem doesnt seem to be so easy now. my NAV cant seem to be started up on startup. i launched my pc in safemode to do a couple of scans with hijackthis, spybot whatsoever but still cant be fixed. i rebooted my pc a couple of times because of NAV is malfunctioning, which prompts me to reboot due to viri/attackers changed its config. Auto Protect is off, Email Protect is off. i cant seem to turn them on. NAV cant be excuted now even after reinstalling.

    advice anyone?

    Hi realix,

Read through this thread http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=100214#post100214 and pay attention to Mike's method of removing NAV registy entries. That's your problem right now, NAV is very hard to remove getting all the corrupted entries out, then reinstall it and immediately update it.

Did you go to the online virus services? W/O having a clean system, forget about doing anything else.

    SpyBot - Ad-Aware are not AV's!

The place to go for analyzing the HiJackhis log is here http://www.spywareinfo.com/yabbse/
but worry about that after you get this virus situation under control.

    Regards - Charles
