I use Messenger with NS 4.8. When I receive a forwarded message with a graphic or an action graphic, I wish to delete all addresses except my own when I forward the e-mail. I have not been able to find a way to do it.

I know for a still grapic I can do a save as; however if there are words in the e-mail I lose them. What is the solution? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Pete,

    Highlight the Message
    Click on the Message Tab
    Select: Edit Message as New

You will then be able to delete the existing addresses and enter the addresses of your choice.

You should not lose text in the message.

    Stripping E-Mail Addresses

As one of my college educated friends would say: It don't work too good! :)

Let me clarify. I tried forwarding an attachment to myself that had multiple addressees. I found I could delete all addressees. That was fine.

However, I have one that has been forwarded more than once and the graphic with text came thru Message but not as an attatchment. I cannot find any way, even using the suggested technique, to strip the other addresses. I can save the image or the accompanying text separately but I cannot forward the message stripped of all addresses except mine.

I could send it to you directly if you wish to play with it. Your choice. Thanks for all your good advice.

    Hi Pete,

I have an email that had been forwarded four times (four email addresses). The message has an inline graphic with text, but not attachment. I was able to Edit the Message as New, was able to delete all the forwarded addresses.

Let me send you a PM with my email, and I'll see what's up with your specific forwarded message.

Then we must post here with the results.

OK. I assume PM means private message.

I'm ready whenever you are. Is there something I should do or wait for instructions from you? I'm a bit green at this!!

    Hi Pete,

You will need to enable your Personal Messages, in the User Control Panel|Edit Options.

I've tried several times to send you a PM, not realizing that you weren't savvy on the procedure. At the top of the page there are six buttons, and the first one is "user cp ". That's where you will need to configure your settings.

    Hi Pete,

I tried several times, and finally gave up. However, I see that you are set up now, and just sent a PM...

To conclude this problem of Pete111's, the solution was much less complicated than first anticipated.

After exchanging several forwarded emails containing images, I got my first good clue when I noted that the missing or blank image in Pete111's email was shown as [image].

Pete111 enabled HTML in the Email settings, and now his images are flying across the Internet.
