    Hi,
Whenever my computer sets idle for a period of time, I have to click on my account name to get to my desktop.

Is there a way to eliminate this step so that my computer goes right to the desktop upon awakening?

I tried using TweakUI but that didn't solve the problem.

    Thanks,
    jslow

In control Panel, Display, go to the Screensaver tab. There is a checkbox there for "On resume, display logon screen" (or similar wording). Uncheck that box, click OK and see if that does the trick.

If it it's waking up from hibernate, you may need to go to Control Panel>Power Options. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the box for "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby, "click OK. "

    Hi Miz,

Thanks for the reply. Your suggestions worked.

I think this problem sometimes occurs when I'm coming out of hibernation because I had to use your second suggestion too.
