This past weekend I spent 5 hours at my neighbors house ridding their system of various pests, including viruses and spyware.

This came right after they "unlocked" some AOL parental controls for their two sons, and it's no coincidence. Neither of the boys (aged 13 and 11) had any idea that one should not click on pop-ups advertising "free" software or "cracks" (I think they downloaded some sort of training cheat) for games. I had the same thing happen to my sons PC a while back, I didn't think to talk to the neighbor boys about these issues (they are good friends).

I did take the time to show my neighbor how to use AdAware and walked him through renewing his NAV subscription.

Are there any web sites which are written to educate kids on these dangers? Even a simple FAQ directed towards kids? It seems that computer security is just as much an important part of talking to kids these days as all the traditional "birds and bees" stuff.
