Hi. I wanted to remove some entries (Play in BSplayer, Open as Notebook in OneNote etc.) in the context menu in Win XP SP3. I wanted to follow the instructions written here (the second one, through Edit File Type window).

I found what I was looking for under "File folder" (I hope that's the English term, my Win are not in English; it is right after "Folder "). But my tab Edit File Type is a bit different from the one introduced here. The buttons Edit and Remove are disabled - for all entries in the tab. So I wanted to ask what's wrong?

Top to it all, after closing that tab without changing anything, all file folders started opening in BSplayer (what is one of the entries in the context menu I wanted to remove; I swear I didn't choose it as default:) ). Because there is no command "open" (as is under Folder), nothing better occurred to me than creating one and choosing explorer.exe as the opening program. Now the file folders can be open in windows, but every folder in a new one. Could anyone advise me how to fix it? Even my command "open" cannot be removed or edited...

    Thanks

The context menu "Open with XYZ Program" entries are located in the registry, thus you MUST use the first section of that Web page instructions.

It crossed my mind, but I didn't find that "File Folder ".. Now I found where to find it here. So I fix it and delete entries from context menu I don't want.
