My wife's birthday is coming up later this month and I've been doing some searching and shopping on-line. I notice that the URLs of several of those sites are now listed in the drop-down window in the Location Bar. I would just as soon my wife not see those URLs and learn ahead of time what she's getting. Is there any way I can empty that file or at least edit it to remove the URLs I don't want appearing there?

(I'm using NS 4.79 and Windows 98, if that makes any difference.)

Click on the edit menu, then preferences, Navigator and then click on the button that says clear location bar.

Bingo! That did it, Zander. Thanks.

I'd checked as far as the Clear History button, which appears immediately above the Clear Location Bar button, and when it didn't do what I wanted I gave up. Too quickly, obviously. Thanks again for the help.

(Hey, what happened there? For several minutes I wasn't able to get back into the WindowsBBS site. For awhile I wondered if maybe we'd been hacked again. * whew * )
